The percentage of submitted messages successfully delivered to recipient devices.
Why Delivery Rate Matters
Submitting a message to the platform is not the same as it reaching the recipient. Delivery rate is the metric that actually reflects whether traffic is landing, a route, sender ID, or account can look healthy on submission volume while quietly failing on delivery, which is why this number, not send count, is what operators should watch.
How Delivery Rate Works
Delivery rate is calculated as delivered messages divided by submitted messages over a given period, based on DLRs (delivery receipts) returned by the carrier. It is only as accurate as DLR reporting itself, a route that suppresses or delays DLRs will understate or misrepresent the real rate.
How SMPPCenter Uses This
SMPPCenter tracks delivery rate per route and per account from DLR data, so a degrading route can be identified and swapped before it affects a customer's overall traffic, rather than being discovered after the fact.
