CRM-Driven Messaging Built Into Your Platform
Your sales and support teams already live in Zoho CRM. The Zoho CRM Connector Plugin lets them connect a Zoho account once, pick a module, and send SMS, WhatsApp templates, Voice calls, or RCS messages the moment a new record is created. No Zoho Marketplace app. No Zapier. No custom functions to maintain.

Get a QuoteWhat Your Users Can Automate, Per CRM Module
Each connected Zoho module gets its own independent mix of outbound and inbound automations.
Send on New Record
Trigger SMS, WhatsApp templates, Voice calls, or RCS messages the moment a record is created in any Zoho module that has a phone-type field, such as Leads, Contacts, Deals, Accounts, Vendors, or your own custom modules.
Log Replies as CRM Notes
Inbound SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS replies are matched by mobile number and posted as a Note on the CRM record, keeping context in one place.
Personalize From Fields
Use any Zoho field name as a placeholder in SMS, or map WhatsApp and RCS template variables directly to module fields via a visual mapping UI.
Delivery Notes on Record
After every send, the delivery status (SENT, DELIVERED, FAILED, ANSWERED) is posted as a Note on the CRM record automatically, no custom Zoho fields needed.
Which Zoho Modules Can You Connect?
The module picker is dynamic. It fetches every module in your Zoho org that is API-supported, allows record creation, and has at least one phone-type field. Only those modules appear in the list. There is no hardcoded restriction.
Leads
Send an SMS or WhatsApp template the moment a new lead is captured. Log reply conversations as Notes on the Lead record.
Contacts
Trigger onboarding messages when a Contact record is created. Inbound SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS replies are posted back as Contact Notes.
Deals
Alert your team or the prospect by SMS or Voice call the moment a Deal is opened. Delivery status Notes keep the deal timeline complete.
Accounts
Send a welcome RCS or WhatsApp template when a new Account record is created. Replies are logged as Account Notes.
Vendors
Notify a new vendor by SMS or WhatsApp when their Vendor record is created. Phone-type fields on Vendors make them eligible for all outbound and inbound automations.
Custom Modules
Any custom module you have built in Zoho CRM will appear in the picker as long as it is API-supported, allows record creation, and has a phone-type field.
Modules without any phone-type field are automatically excluded from the picker. The list updates live from your connected Zoho org every time you open the Connect a Module dialog.
Channel Capabilities at a Glance
| Capability | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Send SMS on new record | Messages the record mobile using Sender ID, optional DLT template, and freeform text with Zoho field placeholders. |
| Send WhatsApp on new record | Sends an approved WhatsApp template. Header, body, media, and button variables are mapped to Zoho module fields or fixed values. |
| Send Voice call on new record | Places a call and plays an approved audio clip from the voice library, with optional voice status Note write-back. |
| Send RCS on new record | Sends an approved RCS template from a verified bot, with per-variable Zoho field mapping. |
| Log incoming SMS / WhatsApp / RCS | Appends inbound replies as Notes on the matched CRM record, showing channel, message text, and timestamp. |
| Delivery status Notes | SENT, DELIVERED, FAILED, ANSWERED, PENDING, or UNDELIVERED posted as a Note automatically after every send. |
| Recent Activity | Shows module, mobile, channel badge, transaction ID, delivery status, and timestamp so operators can confirm automations are running. |
How End Users Connect in Four Steps
Typical setup takes a few minutes once Zoho OAuth is available on the account.
Connect Zoho Account
One-time OAuth from Connected Services. The panel shows Connected as the Zoho email, with Disconnect available once all module connections are removed.
Connect a Module
A live dropdown fetches every module in your Zoho org that is API-enabled and has at least one phone-type field. Common examples include Leads, Contacts, Deals, Accounts, Vendors, and any custom modules you have created. Select the module, then choose which phone field holds the mobile number.
Turn On Automations
Flip outbound send and inbound logging toggles for SMS, WhatsApp, Voice, and RCS. Each toggle expands to configure templates, sender IDs, and variable mapping.
It Runs Automatically
New records and replies are picked up on a short polling cycle, about once a minute. Check Recent Activity to confirm sends and delivery statuses.
Send Alerts the Moment a Record is Created
Four outbound channels, each independently toggled per connected module.
SMS
- Choose a registered Sender ID for the account.
- Write a free-text message using {Field_Api_Name} placeholders from the Zoho module.
- Optionally attach a pre-approved DLT template for Indian traffic.
- Delivery status posted back as a CRM Note automatically.
- Select from approved WhatsApp templates on the account.
- Map header, body, media, and button variables to Zoho module fields or fixed values.

Voice
- Select an approved audio clip from the voice library.
- Places an outbound call and plays the clip when the recipient answers.
- Call status (ANSWERED, NO ANSWER, FAILED) posted as a CRM Note.

RCS
- Select a verified RCS bot and an approved RCS template.
- Map each template variable to a Zoho module field or a fixed value.
- Supports rich cards, carousels, and action buttons.
- Inbound RCS replies logged as CRM Notes on the matched record.
Log Every Reply Back into Zoho CRM
Three inbound channels, each independently toggled. Replies are matched by mobile number to the CRM record and posted as Notes.
Incoming SMS
Inbound SMS messages from the record mobile are matched to the Zoho record and posted as a Note showing channel, message text, and timestamp. Keeps the full SMS conversation in CRM context.
Incoming WhatsApp
WhatsApp replies from the contact's number are appended as CRM Notes on the matched record. Text, media captions, and interactive button replies are all captured.
Incoming RCS
Inbound RCS messages and button responses from the record number are logged as Notes on the matched Zoho record, giving sales teams full reply visibility inside CRM.
Resellers: Control Channels Per Customer Account
Every automation type is individually gated per account so you expose only the channels you have provisioned for each customer.
Per-Account Channel Flags
- Enable or disable Send SMS, Send WhatsApp, Send Voice, and Send RCS per customer account.
- Enable or disable Log Incoming SMS, Incoming WhatsApp, and Incoming RCS independently.
- Customers only see the automation cards for channels you have provisioned.
OAuth Credentials Control
- The Zoho OAuth client ID and secret are configured at the platform level, not per user.
- If OAuth is not configured for an account, users see a “contact your representative” message instead of a broken flow.
- No Zoho Marketplace app is required on the customer's Zoho org.
Multi-Module Per Account
- Each user can connect as many Zoho modules as needed (any module with a phone-type field), each with its own channel mix.
- Module connections can be paused (master toggle) or deleted without removing the Zoho OAuth connection.
- Configuration gear on each connection row lets users edit and re-map without recreating.
Reseller Visibility
- Recent Activity log shows module, mobile, channel, transaction ID, delivery status, and timestamp.
- Per-account usage is tracked through the same delivery reports and credit ledger as all other channels.
- No separate reporting dashboard to maintain.
