TPS is the number that actually determines whether a platform can handle your traffic, more than any marketing claim. A bank sending OTPs at peak login times, or an aggregator blasting a festival campaign, needs a guaranteed sustained TPS, not a burst number.

How TPS Works

TPS is measured as sustained submit_sm throughput a connection or platform can process without queuing growing unbounded. It is affected by the number of binds, server capacity, and how the traffic is load-balanced across connections.

Every SMPPCenter platform tier publishes a specific TPS ceiling, from 50 TPS on the entry tier up to 500+ on Scale and 1,000+ on Enterprise, so you can size a plan against your actual peak rather than guessing.
