BSP

Business Solution Provider, a company authorized by WhatsApp to provide access to the WhatsApp Business API on behalf of businesses.

Why BSP Matters

Meta does not let an arbitrary business connect straight into the WhatsApp Business API. Provisioning a number, submitting templates for approval, and sending traffic all run through a BSP that Meta has vetted, so any business using WhatsApp for business messaging is working through a BSP whether that relationship is visible to them or not.

How BSP Works

A BSP completes Meta's technical and business review, then provisions WhatsApp Business Accounts (WABAs) on behalf of its own customers, handling number registration, template submission and approval, and message routing through Meta's infrastructure.

How SMPPCenter Uses This

SMPPCenter's WhatsApp Business API channel is provisioned through a BSP relationship, so you get a WhatsApp sending number and can submit templates for approval directly from the platform, without going through Meta's onboarding yourself.
