You can modify any automation at any time to adjust email content, timing, execution rules, or status.
Editing an Automation:
- Go to Admin Panel > User > User Automations
- Find the automation you want to edit
- Click “Edit” button for that automation
- The edit form will open with all current settings pre-filled
What You Can Modify:
Basic Settings:
- ✅ Automation Name
- ✅ Description
- ✅ Status (Enable/Disable)
Execution Rules:
- ✅ Product activity monitoring (SMS, WhatsApp, Voice)
- ✅ Minimum balance requirements
- ✅ Purchase and message thresholds
- ✅ Maximum days settings
Email Templates:
- ✅ Add new email steps
- ✅ Modify existing email subjects and content
- ✅ Change inactivity periods or day numbers
- ✅ Remove email steps (clear content)
Important Notes:
⚠️ Changes Affect Future Executions Only:
- Modifications don’t affect already-sent emails
- Users who already received Step 1 (old version) will receive Step 2 (new version)
- This ensures ongoing campaigns continue smoothly
⚠️ Changing Periods/Days:
- If you change a 30-day email to 60-day, users will follow the new schedule
- Already-sent emails are tracked by step index, not by day/period
- Be cautious when modifying step sequences
⚠️ Removing Email Steps:
- To remove a step, clear all its content and save
- Users who already received that step won’t be affected
- Gaps in step sequences are allowed
Best Practices for Editing:
- Test Before Activating: Disable automation, make changes, test, then enable
- Document Changes: Keep notes of what was modified and when
- Monitor Impact: Check logs after editing to ensure expected behavior
- Preserve Step Order: Maintain logical progression in your email sequence
- Backup Content: Copy email content before major changes
Disabling an Automation:
To temporarily pause an automation without deleting:
- Edit the automation
- Change Status to “Disabled”
- Save changes
- Cron will skip disabled automations
