New User Automation helps you automatically nurture new users with follow-up emails during their first days/weeks. This improves activation rates and helps convert demo users into paying customers.
Step-by-Step Setup Guide:
Step 1: Create New Automation
- Go to Admin Panel > User Automations
- Click “Create Automation”
- Select “New User Automation” from the dropdown
- Click “Continue”
Step 2: Basic Configuration
- Automation Name: Enter a descriptive name (e.g., “New User 7-Day Onboarding”)
- Description: Add details about the automation’s purpose (optional)
- Status: Set to “Enabled” to activate immediately
Step 3: Configure Execution Rules
Stop Automation If User Purchased Credits:
- ☑️ Enable this option to stop sending emails once user makes a purchase
- Purchase Threshold: Set minimum amount (e.g., 100)
- Users who purchased more than this amount won’t receive further emails
Stop Automation If User Sent Messages:
- ☑️ Enable this option to stop emails once user starts using the system
- Message Sent Threshold: Set minimum count (e.g., 10 messages)
- Active users who exceed this won’t receive further emails
Maximum Days to Send:
- Set the maximum period to send emails (default: 30 days)
- Automation stops after this period regardless of user activity
Step 4: Create Email Steps
For each day interval, configure:
Day Number:
- Enter day number (1-90) when email should be sent
- Example: Day 1, Day 3, Day 7, Day 14, Day 21, Day 30
Select Email Template:
- Choose from pre-built templates for each day
- Templates are tailored for different stages of onboarding
Email Subject:
- Use dynamic placeholders for personalization
- Example:
"Welcome to SMPP Center, {{FIRSTNAME}}! 🚀"
Email Content:
- Rich text editor (TinyMCE) for formatted emails
- Available placeholders:

Add Multiple Steps:
- Click “+ Add Email Step” to add more days
- Recommended sequence: Day 1 → Day 3 → Day 7 → Day 14 → Day 30
- Each email guides users through different onboarding stages
Step 5: Save and Activate
- Review all settings carefully
- Click “Save Changes”
- Automation will start monitoring new user registrations
How Emails Are Sent:
- Day-Based Delivery: Emails sent based on days since registration
- Progressive Campaign: Only the next eligible email is sent per cron run
- Smart Stopping: Stops automatically when user purchases or becomes active
